Mercedes spent most of her life in one place, until the last 4 years. From moving to Missouri for her first two years of college, then moving home to Kansas because of the pandemic, and then moving to Arkansas for an internship, and finally moving to Virginia to finish school and work her first Radio gig, the last 4 years have been anything but ordinary. The Journey is the first radio station she has worked for and she is so excited to be a part of the family!
When she’s not at work, Mercedes’ enjoys creating her podcast, reading books, and going to see movies. Her sister and brother-in-law also live nearby in the D.C. area and the rest of her family resides in Kansas and Iowa. Mercedes is an Alumni of Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with areas of concentration in Music and Communications.
Music is such an important part of Mercedes’ life and some of her favorite artists include Brandon Heath, TobyMac, For King and Country, Owl City, Rascal Flatts, and more. Mercedes loves sharing her heart for the Lord with others in any way possible and loves the quote, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
